Donations Are Deeply Appreciated

We encounter many transitions in our lives, such as moving or facing the loss of a loved one. These times of change often require sorting through and distributing personal items. Please keep us in mind when you donate. Our thoughtful staff/volunteers carefully handle your donated treasures with respect.

Please remember that all donations to Silver Threads Community Store help our elderly neighbors in need as well as being tax deductible to you. It’s a great way to recycle goods that can be used by someone in need.

We accept just about everything. It needs to be clean and in fairly good condition. You can drop off your donations at the store during operating hours. For large item pickups, call our store to make arrangements.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT:
LARGE APPLIANCES (Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Refrigerators) OR MATTRESSES

Your Tax-Deductible Donation Makes a Difference!

Our not-for-profit store helps Collin County Committee on Aging.
Proceeds go to our programs for our elderly neighbors in the community, including:

Meals On Wheels

Caregiver Support

CCART Transportation

Volunteers!
As always volunteers play a vital role.

We offer a number of ways anyone can get involved. If you would like to volunteer some time at Silver Threads Community Store, please stop by the store and pick up a volunteer profile form. We can always use help in the store, warehouse, donation pickups, or even help build or repair things. We have lots of ways Boy/Girl Scouts, Community Groups, or other organizations can help. Contact the store for more details.
